OVERVIEW OF THE NAJ SUMMITS

Four years ago, North American Journeys “Blazed a New Frontier” with the introduction of the NAJ Tour Operator Summit in Los Angeles, providing suppliers, and destinations for the first time an efficient way to network and offer their products to West Coast-based tour operators.

Suppliers told us that it would take them two weeks to meet with the operators they were able to see in one day at the NAJ Summit. We were able to recruit at least one representative from every major receptive operator company because of our ongoing “informational” relationship with the operators through our website, www.thetouroperator.com, newsletter, Inbound, and bi-annual in-office training sessions . North American Journeys (NAJ) is hosting the 5th Annual NAJ TourOperator Summit-West in Los Angeles on Feb. 11-12, 2008 .

NAJ Summit-East. At the request of many operator companies, we expanded to the East Coast with the 3rd Annual NAJ Tour Operator Summit-East in NYC, June 16-17, 2008 at the Holiday Inn Midtown, NYC, in conjunction with our annual East Coast summer operator training sessions. In addition to the base of European and Latin American operators who have offices in NYC, we concentrate our tour operator recruitment efforts on Japanese and Asian companies who do not attend other travel trade events and on special groups and incentive staff who do not travel to Pow Wow and other trade shows but need contacts with destinations and suppliers to help them respond to proposal requests.
